From the City of Charlottesville:
Due to continued rain, the milling and paving of both the westbound and eastbound lanes of the 250 Bypass, between Hydraulic Road and Emmet Street, has been delayed.
Paving will resume on Monday, June 10, 2013 and will continue through Wednesday, June 13, 2013. Work will take place between 9:00 am and 3:30 pm.
One lane of traffic will be maintained in both directions, but motorists should expect delays.
The City of Charlottesville also announced that Rugby Road will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, June 10 between Barracks Road/Preston Avenue and the 250 Bypass for underground utility work.
The work is scheduled to be completed by August 30, 2013.
Motorists should use alternate routes when possible.
Drivers should expect traffic delays on several roads in Charlottesville over the next few days.
Beginning Thursday, June 6, through Monday, June 10, the City will be milling and paving the eastbound lane of the 250 Bypass between Emmet Street and Hydraulic Road.
Work will take place between 9:00 am and 3:30 pm.
Crews are also milling and paving on the westbound lane of the 250 Bypass. Work on that lane is expected to be completed on Friday, June 7.
One lane of traffic will be maintained in both directions, but drivers should expect delays.
Utility work continues at the intersection of McIntire Road and Harris Street.
Detours are posted and Charlottesville Police are directing traffic in the area.
