Crews to Repair Rt. 29 Ramp onto I-64 on Thursday

May 14, 2014

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will perform paving work on the Route 29 north on-ramp to eastbound Interstate 64 on Thursday night.

The ramp enters I-64 east at mile marker 118 in Charlottesville.

Beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday, a VDOT contractor will mill and pave a 100-foot section of the ramp to address extensive pothole damage.

The work is expected to take up to six hours.

During that time the ramp will be narrowed and drivers are asked to reduce speed and be alert for changes to the traffic pattern.

Minor delays may occur.
