Albemarle County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man from Crozet, who is accused of leading them on a two-mile chase on the Route 250 Bypass. Deputies say the driver hit two other cars in the process.

Deputies have arrested Christopher Lee Snow and charged him with hit and run and reckless driving. They also say he was driving with a suspended license.

Deputies say Snow didn't stop at a traffic light on Ivy Road, and when they tried to pull him over, he took off on the 250 Bypass. At the start of the chase, they say Snow hit another car at Barracks Road and got back on the Bypass.

Then as he got to Ivy Road, he hit another car. That crash sent him off the road and into some trees, but that wasn't the end of it.

"After colliding with the second car I think he lost control and he ended up off the right side of the road in the trees, and then fled on foot, and he was apprehended immediately after that," said Peter Mainzer with the Albemarle County Police Department.

Deputies say that no one was seriously hurt in the cars that Snow hit.
