Crozet Teen Arrested After High Speed Chase

Albemarle County Police have arrested and charged a 19-year-old Crozet man who led police on a brief high speed chase Monday afternoon.

An officer attempted to stop a vehicle traveling westbound on Three Notch'd Road in Crozet around 4pm Monday. According to police, the Toyota Camry attempted to elude the officer by speeding off. Officers followed the suspect and ultimately located him in the 4700 block of Clover Ridge Place.

The driver, identified as 19-year-old Kyle A. Young, of Crozet, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor attempt to elude, driving outside license restriction and underage possession of alcohol.

Young was released on a $3,000 unsecured bond.
