With just hours to go before Election Day, two candidates for Virginia governor are making final stops in Central Virginia.

Republican Ken Cuccinelli and Libertarian Robert Sarvis are making a last-minute appeal to the voters.

Sarvis held an "Election Eve" rally at the Freedom of Speech wall in Charlottesville on Monday night. He used it as an opportunity to thank his supporters.

"I think that people really want a positive campaign," Sarvis said. "They've been reacting very favorably to the fact that I haven't run any negative ads, the fact that I'm talking about issues, that I understand them at a deep level, and I'm offering real, practical solutions that people across the political spectrum can agree on."

Cuccinelli, along with lieutenant governor candidate E.W. Jackson and attorney general candidate Mark Obenshain, stopped by the GOP headquarters in Albemarle County Monday afternoon.

More than a hundred supporters rallied at Cuccinelli's visit. The Republican gubernatorial candidate spoke about the Affordable Care Act, and confidence they have for their party in the election.

"As people focus on the details of this race, whether it be economic opportunity or taxes, or whether it be Obamacare, they're coming our way," Cuccinelli said. "The truth is our friend here. And as people penetrate a lot of the lies coming from the other side, and they look at our actual policies, and realize that my opponent hasn't proposed any, we stand in good stead here."

A new Quinnipiac University poll released Monday shows Democrat Terry McAuliffe is up 6 percent over Cuccinelli. The Republican says he doesn't take much stock in that, saying polls aren't true indicators of what is on voters' minds.

Libertarian Sarvis received 8 percent of likely voters' support in that poll.
