The Culpeper Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a man suspected of scamming a local store.
On March 8, an unidentified man returned what was believed to be a computer tablet in a sealed box to the customer service counter at Wal-Mart.
The man was given a cash refund, then went to the electronics department and allegedly removed a video gaming device and left the store without paying.
When store personnel later opened the computer box, they didn't find a tablet but other items to give the box weight.
The man has a beard, wears glasses and has medium length brown hair. He is believed to be between 20 and 30 years of age.
Anyone with information regarding this man may contact Crime Solvers anonymously at 540-727-0300 or Detective Sergeant Jeff Dodson at 540-829-5526.
