Cynthia Neff Arrested on DUI Charge

A former candidate for the House of Delegates and Albemarle County Board of Supervisors is facing a DUI charge.

According to Albemarle County Police, Cynthia Neff was arrested early Sunday morning after being pulled over in the 3600 block of Proffit Road.

The officer smelled alcohol coming from her and gave her a field sobriety test. Neff failed the tests administered and was arrested for driving under the influence.

Neff has been released from the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail and has a court appearance scheduled for November 5th at 9 AM.

Neff made headlines two weeks ago when she posted bond for Albemarle County Superivsor Chris Dumler who was arrested on a forcible sodomy charge.
