BEDFORD, Va. (AP) - The National D-Day Memorial is preparing to mark the Norman invasion's 70th anniversary next year.

Memorial officials expect 10,000 to 15,000 people to visit the memorial in Bedford for the anniversary.

The News & Advance (http://bit.ly/1gu3oun ) reports that a special veteran's parade is set for June 7. The memorial's foundation also has proposed ringing the town bell 19 times at the parade's conclusion to honor 19 Bedford natives from Company A of the Army's 116th Infantry, 29th Division, who were killed during the invasion on June 6, 2014.
