Dave Matthews Band's Bama Works Fund and the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation (CACF) are awarding a total of $621,400 to 81 different organizations.
The Bama Works Fund is donating $336,800 in grant awards to 48 different charities in the Charlottesville area. These charitable programs include helping disadvantaged youth, environmental protection, needs of the disabled, and the arts and humanities.
The CACF is handing out $284,600 to 33 nonprofit organizations that work to improve quality of life in Central Virginia.
