Long before the television was invented, at a time when there was no broadcast TV news in Charlottesville, The Daily Progress was keeping the citizens of Central Virginia informed.
But now, The Progress is trying to modernize.
Copies of the newspaper from editions dating all the way back to 1892 are going digital.
