Virginia State Delegate Joseph Morrissey (D) was in court Friday morning, following allegations he had a sexual relationship with a teenage employee at his law firm.

Del. Morrissey was arraigned on five charges stemming from the incident. He entered a plea of not guilty today and requested a jury trial, which is set for December 15th.

The 56-year-old delegate was accused in August 2013 of having a relationship with a then 17-year-old employee at his law firm.

If convicted, Morrissey could spend up to 30 years in prison.
