The Democratic ticket for Virginia has been determined. Terry McAuliffe ran uncontested for the Democratic nomination to run as a candidate for Governor, Ralph Northam defeated Aneesh Chopra to get the nod for Lieutenant Governor, and Mark Herring gets the nomination for Attorney General, beating out Justin Fairfax.
The City of Charlottesville had an 8.35% registered voter turnout, while the County of Albemarle at 3.0%. The city's turnout was higher than expected, while the low turnout for the county was reflected across the state, which was low.
