The University of Virginia is encouraging student to use the Dome Room of the Rotunda.
UVa is planning to hold more classes and extending study hours in the dome room.
They are even planning dinners for first years.
The iconic building was originally used as a classroom building and housed the university library.
Officials say they want the new students to have a sense of ownership of the place.
