Dozens came out for a forum hosted by the Senior Statesmen of Virginia the Senior Center in Albemarle county.

Albemarle County Board of Supervisors Chairperson Ann Mallek and Charlottesville City Mayor Satyendra Huja came out to hear the concerns of the older members of the community.

Seniors talked about a wide range of issues, from lack of cross walks, traffic on Rio Road, to homelessness.

Sue Lieberman, president of the Senior Statesmen, says it is not just about seniors either.

"The mission of Senior Statesmen is to inform nut just seniors, but the people of Virginia." says Lieberman.

"So that we can articulate and tell other people about what's going on in our cities and towns and our state."

The Senior Statesmen of Virginia hold meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at the Senior Center.
