Albemarle County Supervisor Duane Snow will run for a second term on the board.
In his announcement Wednesday morning, Snow cited his efforts in maintaining county budget, while working to preserve the rural landscape of the county.
"I am dedicated to preserving Albemarle's charm and history, but I also know it's important to plan for the future and continue the positive growth in our community."
Snow says he wants to continue with his commitment to work with the other board members to ensure the financial strength of the county.
