Albemarle County Supervisor Chris Dumler is reaching out to his constituents for the first time since his guilty plea on a misdemeanor sex charge.
Dumler released a statement Monday morning, saying "the past few months have been full of challenges - both personal and professional - but I remain committed to my oath of office".
Dumler will spend 30 days in jail as part of the plea agreement to a misdemeanor sexual battery charge.
