Thieves have stolen thousands of dollars of electronics from Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in Louisa County.
The laptop computers and iPods were being kept in mobile classrooms. The school was using those classrooms because of last year's earthquake damage.
The mobile units sit in an open space, which leaves classroom doors vulnerable. School leaders say the ordeal is very disappointing.
"Students are already in a different situation," said Principal Candace Wilkerson. "They are making the best of the situation and then to have their things taken on top of that, it's a little disheartening."
School leaders have notified the Louisa County Sheriff's Office. They are working with them to find who is responsible for the crime.
