Planning for a wedding can be one of the more tedious things a couple can do before they tie the knot.
But on Sunday, there was a lot food tasting and dress browsing as couples flocked to the Downtown Mall at the Omni Hotel.
Brides and grooms-to-be had the opportunity to meet several potential vendors all in the course of one day. Guests were also treated to a bridal fashion show displaying potential wedding dresses, tuxedos and even a look for the kids.
With same-sex marriage in Virginia soon to become legal on August 20th, it makes many wonder if it will change the flow of business, and according to a vendor from Carter Mountain Orchard, she says it won't change a thing.
"I think if you can go through life and find someone you love, it's better than going through life alone, so i have no problem with it," said Alison Hereford.
Other vendors said they believe their business and revenue will only increase when same sex marriage becomes legal this week.
