Virginia State Police and the Augusta County Sheriff's Office are investigating an explosion.

Police say shortly before 5:00 AM on Thursday, a small explosion damaged a truck on Miss Phillips Road.

The truck's front side sustained significant damage, though the 61-year-old driver was not hurt.

State Police called in a bomb technician to figure out where the explosive device came from and what caused it to go off.
