RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Area faith leaders are teaming up with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and public policy officials to work for clean water.

They're gathering for an all-day forum Tuesday in Richmond to discuss stewardship of rivers, streams and the bay. The gathering is called "Living Waters: An Interfaith Summit."

Ann Jurczyk is with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, the leading advocate for the bay's restoration after years of neglect. She says the summit will look at water quality "through the lens of faith" to discover collaborative ways to restore and protect rivers and streams that flow into the bay.

The gathering will include clergy, former state Secretary of Natural Resources Tayloe Murphy and Car Hershner of the Center for Coastal Resources at the Virginia Institute of Marine Sciences.
