Fans Celebrate As Hoos Head to College World Series Finals

A big win for the Cavaliers Friday and fans in Charlottesville were even more excited looking ahead to the upcoming championship series.

Fans packed into places like Trinity Irish Pub on The Corner in Charlottesville to watch the big game in Omaha.

Now that the Hoos are heading to the College World Series Finals, fans are hoping to team goes all the way.

"It's great, we had a blast today. UVa. fans, we all love any sport that we get to watch and get to actually see them have some success," says Stephen Holt, a UVa. baseball fan.

"I'm really excited about everything. Monday's game is going to be awesome. I can't wait. It's so rewarding to see UVa. teams doing really well," says Jack Farina, a UVa. baseball fan.

Fans say Saturday's win caps off a great year for UVa. sports programs like lacrosse and basketball and they'll be rooting on the Hoos on Monday night.
