The Virginia Farm Bureau Federation will soon be the full owner of the state fair and its grounds.
The Farm Bureau had been a part owner, but recently decided to purchase the remaining portions from Universal Fairs of Tennessee.
The State Fair of Virginia organization went bankrupt early last year and had to sell all of its assets. Universal bought the rights and the property at auction.
This year's fair will run from September 27 to October 6 at the Caroline County site.
