Around 30,000 people came into town ready to celebrate with their new graduates as part of the University of Virginia's Final Exercises.

From the Corner to West Main Street and the Downtown Mall, it was all packed.

Even with the rainy, dreary weather for Final Exercises weekend, that didn't keep people out of Chaps Ice Cream.

They say especially because they've been there for years, graduates' parents, who are alumni, will make a special trip to Chaps.

"Every business in Charlottesville looks forward to graduation weekend. I mean, it's the biggest day of the year. If we have all these people over there then we know we're going to get hit, and everyone in town knows they're going to get hit," said Kenney Payne, the cook at Chap's. "It's just graduation. It's Charlottesville."

They saw lots of UVa generations come through this weekend.
