Firefighters Rescue Drivers Stranded in Water

Firefighters rescued a group of people early Tuesday morning, who were trapped in a car stuck in several feet of water.

Crews responded to the call just before 4:00 am on Buck Mountain Ford Lane, in Albemarle County.

Five people were stranded in the car, after they attempted to go over a low water bridge. The water was too deep for the car to pass through.

Firefighters used ladders to remove everyone from the vehicle.

No injuries were reported and no charges filed.
