Fluvanna Co. Man Seeks Democratic Nomination for 5th District Race

April 1, 2014

A Fluvanna County man has formally submitted paperwork to run for Virginia's 5th district congressional seat, against Republican incumbent Robert Hurt.

Ben Hudson wants the Democratic nomination in the race. He will be running against Lawrence Gaughan for the nomination.

Hudson is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and a teacher in Charlottesville.

He says he wants to serve in Congress, because he believes the current representatives are letting the public down and that job creation will be one of his top priorities.
