Former City Candidate Halfaday Faces New Charges

April 30, 2013

A former Charlottesville City Council candidate, James Halfaday, is apparently facing another incident of violating his probation.

Halfaday has been in jail since being accused of violating his parole by sending a threatening email to his former domestic partner.

In October, Halfaday was ordered not to have any contact with his partner, as part of his probation for election fraud.

Monday, he was charged with another count of violating his probation, but those court records are now sealed.
