An Albemarle County Circuit Court judge Tuesday sentenced Goran Andelic to 7 year in jail. The former Keswick Hall employee was found guilty in November of burning down a home provided to him by the company.

Upon release, Andelic will be under supervision for one year. However, he plans to appeal the ruling.

Andelic had nothing to say in his defense before receiving sentencing. He was wearing a black and white jump suit, shackles on both hands and feet and looked extremely exhausted throughout the proceedings.

A former employee at Keswick Hall, Andelic was fired in September 2009 for repeatedly missing work. Hours later he burned down the house, fled the scene and hid in a vacant apartment where he had previously lived.

Andelic was convicted in November of arson. Although he claimed to be innocent, a jury recommended a sentencing of 7 years on Nov. 16.
