Crews were out scraping snow off the roads, sidewalks and they were even on top of the Pavilion at the downtown mall. But even with crews working, people still found it hard to get to work this morning.
“It was a rough drive in,” says Charlottesville resident Andrew Diamond. “The side streets are really bad and I have four-wheel drive and I would not have made it downtown without that.”
But people didn't let snow stop them from coming to the Downtown Mall and enjoying their day.
“We made a snow family with mama, baby, daddy and a big kid,” explained Kamin Whitehouse. “And you know, no school, it's hard to get any work done with no power in our house, so we are just enjoying the snow.”
As the day went on more and more people came out to experience the snow.
“Max wanted to go and find a hill so he could snow board, so we put on our stuff and we've kind of been wandering around just looking for a little hill for him, so he could snow board,” says Jennifer Beck-Brown. “It's absolutely beautiful outside.”
Whether you are out trying to snowboard or just want to walk around you have to admit, this snow storm is definitely an interesting start to the Spring season.
