August 7, 2013

A mother very familiar with the experience of searching for a missing child is speaking out to the family of Alexis Murphy.

Gil Harrington says she knows exactly what it's like to go through this situation, and that she feels for any family going through something like this.

Her daughter, Morgan, went missing outside the John Paul Jones Arena in 2009. Morgan's body was found several months later, and her murder remains unsolved.

Gil Harrington says the key to finding Alexis is getting help from the community.

"Someone saw something happening, or has some little piece of information that they are discounting, and they're not letting their intuition come forward. And you want to jog those memories, and tell people in sifting the volumes of tips, any little bit may be critical," says Harrington. "Please call in your information to the police. We want to get Alexis back home where she belongs."
