Grand Jury Indicts Suspended Associate Dean on Child Pornography Charges

Nov. 21, 2013

A federal grand jury has indicted a University of Virginia associate dean on charges of child pornography.

On Thursday, the grand jury indicted 50-year-old Michael Morris of Crozet on two counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

If convicted of the charges, Morris would receive five to 20 years in prison for distribution, and up to 20 years for possession.

FBI agents say they downloaded more than 17 child pornography videos directly from Morris' internet address.

UVa. has suspended Morris, and says they are cooperating with the investigation.
