Greenbrier Elementary School celebrated its 50th birthday in style today.
Students and staff honored the occasion with a ceremony taking a look at each decade's history and music.
Students from each grade level dressed in fashions popular from each decade.
Principal Jim Kyner says today was about celebrating the continued success of Greenbrier.
"I think it's great for us to build on those that came before us, and Greenbrier's always been an excellent school, and we just want to recognize all the contributions of folks from the past." says Kyner. "It's a big mile marker for us that we're celebrating 50 years of excellence."
A timeline of the school's archives will be on display in the school library throughout the month of may.
