Greene County Public Schools announce how they are planning to make up all the days they have missed over the past few weeks.
Class time missed on December 9th, January 10th, Jan. 21st and 23rd will all come from banked time, and won’t be made up.
School time missed on Jan. 7th will be made up on February 17th, and students will be in class on March 28th to make up for Jan. 22nd.
“Each day we have been out of school, my concerns (and I’m sure, yours, too) about learning time lost have increased,” Greene Co. Superintendent Andrea Whitmarsh said in a statement. “That being said, safety for our students, staff, and families must always come first.”
The following is an updated list of days out and subsequent make up days:
- Dec. 9 – made up Jan. 17
- Dec. 10 – banked time
- Jan. 7 – will be made up Feb. 17
- Jan. 10 – banked time
- Jan. 21 – banked time
- Jan. 22 – will be made up March 28
- Jan. 23 – banked time
- Jan. 24 – will be made up June 9
The next day missed will be made up on June 10th. Officials say if any additional days are missed, then they will make recommendations to the school board for how that time should be addressed.
