Group Celebrates May Day with Traditional Dance

May 1, 2013

Six men were up before the crack of dawn in Charlottesville this morning in celebration of May Day.

The group was taking part in what is called Morris Dancing. It's all part of an annual English tradition, where teams gather for a world dance on the first day of May.

The spectacle sparks a lot of curiosity from people who are unfamiliar with the tradition.

This was the 38th year for the Charlottesville dance, which took place in Lee Park
