A Nelson County man has pleaded guilty to multiple charges in connection with a home invasion,
Prosecutors says 23-year-old David Lin Pankey pleaded guilty to 4 counts of robbery, 2 counts of abduction, burglary with a deadly weapon, possession of a sawed-off shotgun and 4 counts of using a firearm to commit robbery.
Investigators say Pankey had forced himself into a home wearing a black ski-mask while armed with a sawed-off shotgun. Inside the home were four adults and one child.
Shortly after the robbery, one of the men managed to break free, took the shotgun from Pankey and was able to identify Pankey after his mask came off. Pankey had previously worked with the man at Food Lion in Lovingston.
Pankey will be sentenced on October 23.
