Haz-Mat Crew Cleans Up Chemicals in Pollocks Branch Creek

Dec. 30, 2013

Chemical fluids in a creek brought out haz-mat crews in Charlottesville on Monday afternoon.

Crews were called in to clean up an estimated 15 gallons of hydraulic fluid that spilled into Pollacks Branch Creek, located off of Elliott Avenue.

Crews were able to contain the spill, and now are in the process of cleaning it up.

Investigators say they're still looking in to exactly -how- the chemical got into the creek.
