'Help Save the Next Girl' Spreads Awareness at Albemarle County Fair

August 2, 2014

The organization, Help Save the Next Girl used the Albemarle County Fair as an opportunity to spread the word about some of the people missing in the area.

More recently, the organization has been helping with trying to find Janet Renee Field last seen in Fluvanna County and Bonnie Santiago last seen in Albemarle County.

They have also raised awareness about the disappearance of Alexis Murphy.

"We're coming up on the first year anniversary of Alexis' disappearance. They will actually be holding a vigil at Nelson County High School at 6 PM and we plan to attend that as well, and just try to keep spreading awareness and help save the next girl," says Amanda St. Clair with Help Save the Next Girl.

The campaign to "Help Save the Next Girl," started about 5 years ago after the disappearance and death of Morgan Harrington.
