Charlottesville Police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection to an armed robbery last month.

Ryan Edward Davis Dean was taken into custody on Wednesday and charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The alleged incident occurred on Jan. 29 in the 1500 block of East High Street. The victim told police he was approached by two men, one of whom pulled out a gun and demanded he give up his backpack. The suspects then took off running.

While Davis has been apprehended, Lt. Ronnie Roberts says police are still looking for the second suspect. There is no description of the man.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.

It's up to five years for a convicted felon caught with a firearm. Excellent law.
