Hikers Braved the Cold for Annual Teddy Bear Hike

January 4, 2014

In an effort to encourage kids to be active and get outdoors during the winter months, the Rivanna Trail Foundation held it's annual Teddy Bear Hike. In the eighth year of the event, kids braved the cold and dressed their favorite teddy bears for a one mile hike along the trail.

"It's just a real easy way for people and families to exercise," said Diana Foster of the Rivanna Trail Foundation. "Winter is just no excuse for staying inside, just dress warmly, have a nice snack and get outside and play."
