Local Housing Market Report Shows Positive Signs

Friday, July 11

Home sales are on the rise in the Charlottesville area, according to a housing market report released by Nest Realty Friday. Numbers show home prices have gone up, but so have sales. Home sales are up one percent over this time last year.

A few key takeaways from the report show some positive signs. Sales levels in Albemarle County reached a five-year high. The City of Charlottesville saw a slight year-over-year drop in total sales this quarter, homes spent less time on the market and median prices are rising.
