Charlottesville City Council will look at four proposals for the Human Rights Commission Monday Night.
Councilor Dave Norris and Councilor Kristin Szakos each proposed versions that give the versions some local power to enforce infractions.
One proposal came in last Friday, prompting a councilor to talk about moving Monday Night's hearing back.
A local human rights advocate said the proposal doesn't merit a delay of tonight's discussion.
Walt Heinecke, Human Rights Advocate, said, " I don't think that her proposal is so out of variation with what we've been talking about that it really needs to be delaying the process. We've been at this for over a year and a half and it's really time for council to make a decision one way or another about the type of human rights commission that we need to have."
The human rights panel was initially proposed more than a year ago.
