Nearly 1,000 people came out for the 20th annual Zeta Tau Alpha 5K at UVa’s Nameless field on Saturday morning.
Runners who participated in the event helped to raise money for breast cancer research.
“This is our biggest turnout and we're hoping to raise $25,” says Jan Walker, director of philanthropy for Zeta Tau Alpha. “In our history we've given almost 150,000 dollars to the UVa Breast Cancer Center.”
All proceeds from the race go directly to the UVa Breast Cancer Center
