April 14, 2014:
Three weeks before he goes on trial charged with the murder of Alexis Murphy, investigators have been searching Randy Taylor's Nelson County home.
Multiple unmarked police vehicles appeared on the side of Route 29 north of Lovingston on Monday morning. Neighbors tell CBS19 that investigators have been back at the home several times in the past week.
Attorneys in the case are currently under a gag order that prevents them from speaking with the media.
Taylor has been charged with the murder of then-17 year-old Alexis Murphy who disappeared on August 3rd.
This isn't the first time the home been has been searched.
It's been a focal point in the murder case, with detectives back again to systematically search the home and surrounding woods.
In the past few months, neighbors say its been pretty quiet over there.
But the trial for Taylor is scheduled to kick off on may first, and that leaves only a few weeks to find any more evidence in the case.
Today, we could see them visibly looking at a map, marking spots on the ground with orange markers, and climbing up a hill that stretches to the side of the property.
