JABA Awarded $75k Grant from Walmart

Jan. 22, 2014

Walmart has made a donation to the Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA), to help with its senior nutrition program.

Walmart is giving a $75,000 grant to JABA, which will help provide balanced meals to the people JABA serves, and help improve their main kitchen facility as well.

Last year, JABA served nearly 16,000 meals to seniors at community centers, and delivered more than 43,000 meals to home-bound residents.

The grant was given through Walmart's State Giving program.
