JABA Facing Volunteer Shortage

May 28, 2014

The Jefferson Area Board of Aging (JABA) is facing a volunteer shortage for the summer.

As regular volunteers take much deserved vacation, JABA is looking for summer volunteers to help with children and seniors' programs, tutor-mentors, meal delivery, resale shop, and other programs.

JABA say volunteer work is a great way to engage with other people in the community.

“People should volunteer because it gives purpose, reduces isolation, they're really able to share their skills and passions with the other people,” says Leanne Probst, manager of volunteer services.
