By now, you've seen many people dump buckets of ice on their heads to raise awareness for ALS. A local radio host decided to continue the ice bucket challenge, but there's a small twist.
Joe Thomas of 107.5 held a similar ice bucket challenge at Three Notched Brewery on Thursday, but instead of dumping ice on your head, you still donate the $10,, and pull an ice cold beer out of the ice bucket.
Thomas stresses the importance of raising awareness for ALS because of the toll the disease takes on the people who have it.
"With ALS, there's no plan. You're diagnosed and then they say we hope to keep you comfortable as it degenerates, but maybe we can move the needle and get some research done to start to find out what's causing it, and find ways to arrest it," said Joe Thomas, 107.5 Radio Host.
For the non-alcoholic drinkers, there was still plenty of food and soft drinks for all to enjoy.
