The federal investigation into Gov. Bob McDonnell and gifts to his family is deepening, as a Virginia socialite has been subpoenaed to give testimony.
The Washington Post is reporting former winemaker Patricia Kluge has been called to testify in front of a grand jury. She's a close friend of the governor's wife, Maureen McDonnell.
The state and federal investigation surrounds gifts to the McDonnells and whether those gifts translated into special treatment to the donors.
Kluge's lawyer said she's done nothing wrong, and it's unclear what the grand jury may be seeking through its questions.
