The alleged contradictions between record and reality are building for former Charlottesville City Council candidate James Halfaday.

The Democratic candidate is already under investigation for possible election fraud due to potentially shady campaign finances and alleged lies about his co-ownership of Snap Fitness.

Now, it appears he doesn't live at the address he used on campaign paperwork. Neighbors say Halfaday doesn't live in the multi-unit apartment building on Sunset Road that he listed in the official documents. In fact, residents CBS19 spoke to don't remember him living there at all for the past two years.

"My husband and I have lived here since August 1 and we occasionally get the mail of the previous tenants so we know that it isn't James Halfaday," explained E. Fisher. "We actually have talked to the previous landlord, so we know all of their names and none of them are James Halfaday."

The Fishers say all sorts of people have come looking for Halfaday, leaving subpoenas and notes at their door.
