Vendors around Charlottesville set up in the City Market for the final time this year as the Holiday Market came to an end.
Last Sunday, a fire destroyed the Parks and Recreation building that housed the offices for the City Market, but that didn't stop vendors from making their way out on Saturday for one final push for the year.
The market manager says the fire did set them back quite a bit, but she was still able to set up the Holiday Market this week.
"We're up and we're still running," says Stephanie Anderegg-Maloy, manager of the City Market. "You know, the vendors need an outlet to sell and we did it."
Anderegg-Maloy also explained that if you missed the City Market this year, there are two events next year at the Carver Rec Center where you can check out the vendors. Those dates are Feb. 15 and 16 and March 15 and 16.
