(AP) - A Virginia Beach man has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon on airport property after a loaded handgun was found in a carry-on bag at Norfolk International Airport.
The U.S. Transportation Security Administration says a TSA officer at an X-ray machine checkpoint discovered the .380 Ruger LCP on Thursday morning. The gun was loaded with six rounds and one chambered.
Norfolk Airport Authority Police charged the man and confiscated the gun and ammunition.
The TSA says the man was allowed to continue on his flight to Indianapolis. His name wasn't released.
