Local Chefs Showcase Skills at Tom Yum

April 12, 2014

Several Chefs got the chance to show off some of their recipes during the annual Tom Yum event Saturday.

The event is a part of the Tom Tom Festival taking place this week in Charlottesville.

Festival goers got the chance to sample food from restaurants like C&O and Brookville as well as get a chance to check out a few vendors from around the Charlottesville area.

The coordinator of Tom Yum says that it is important to know about different food in your area.

"There's so much interesting food that is grown and cooked in our backyard and here's a chance to experience it and try it in a nice little environment," said Greforis Kalai, food coordinator for the Tom Tom Fest.

The Tom Tom Festival continues through Sunday.
